My husband liked it as did my four year old son.
I will definitely make this recipe again, except my seitan came out a little doughy. I like my seitan to be a little tougher. It could be my technique though. I think that this will be good for a smothered "chicken" recipe that I will make soon. This one is a keeper for sure!
Along with that I made Hurry Up Alfredo from VeganYumYum.
I am not too sure about this one. I followed the recipe to the letter but my sauce did not come out looking anything like the sauce on the picture. The taste is ok. The family liked it. I did too but I wanted a more authentic looking and tasting alfredo. Others had the same issue as well, it seems. I will probably cut back on the tamari/soy sauce and see how that works out because I definitely want to give this recipe a chance.

*sigh* why do I keep attempting to work with tofu?

Ever since I became a veg*n, I have tried on numerous occasions to work with tofu. It is fine if I am blending it with something to make a sauce. But on its own to bake or fry, ummmm - no. It NEVER works out.

I was supposed to make a mock chicken recipe with it but there is no way this will work.
I froze the extra firm tofu, defrosted it and pressed the water out of it and got this :(
Oh well, maybe some other time. I remember helping my mother cook when I was a child. I did not like it too much back then and the meals definitely were not vegetarian. In my blog, I will cook some of my favorite recipes from other sources as well as some of my own. You may also see a lot of pizza posts here in this blog. I am on am mission to develop different veggie pizzas as well as vegan pizzas. There will also be product reviews here as well.
Peace!
